Jon Burkhart is an award-winning keynote speaker and content strategist, energised by brands and start-ups who get and keep attention in brave ways.
He’s best known for co-authoring Newsjacking: The Urgent Genius of Real-time Advertising and co-founding Urgent Genius, the world’s first blog dedicated to real-time creativity, in 2010.
Jon speaks regularly at the world’s largest music/innovation/technology/marketing festival South By Southwest (SXSW). In fact, he’s one of the only speakers who’s keynoted there seven times including a closing keynote in 2018. For the last 4 years, he’s served on their Programming Committee where he selects the speakers on the topics of innovation, AR/VR, content, social and sports marketing. As a workshop leader/emcee, he also brings the insights and fun to Eurobest, Cannes Lions and SEAT (Sports and Entertainment Alliance in Technology) conferences.
He’s founder of marketing consultancy TBC Global. Employing a refreshingly different approach to inspiring clients, Jon invents interactive games to enhance and refine the content-making process. He helps clients think differently, focusing on tech/innovation, live experience and content.
